This is not a screenshot: it is the signal, synthesized and drawn in your browser — a slow wave with the alpha spindle hanging off its trough, which is what a properly anesthetized brain looks like. The app does the same with six real brands, reproduced screen by screen. Including each one's particular way of lying to you.

Un índice procesado es un resumen, y como todo resumen llega tarde y se deja fuera lo interesante. Código Alfa entrena lo otro: reconocer el plano alfa-delta, ver venir el brote-supresión, distinguir un artefacto de EMG de un coma, leer el DSA de un lado y del otro, y decidir con la edad, los fármacos, la presión y el momento quirúrgico encima de la mesa. Reconoces el patrón, eliges la conducta y reevalúas. No hay trivia y no hay puntos por acertar de casualidad.
A processed index is a summary, and like every summary it arrives late and leaves out the interesting part. Código Alfa trains the other thing: recognizing the alpha-delta plane, seeing burst-suppression coming, telling an EMG artifact from a coma, reading the DSA on both sides, and deciding with the age, the drugs, the pressure and the surgical moment on the table. You recognize the pattern, choose the action, reassess. No trivia, and no points for guessing right by accident.

Cada aparato está reproducido con sus vistas, sus tendencias, sus escalas y su retardo de promediado — que es lo que explica por qué el número siempre llega tarde, y por qué en unos llega más tarde que en otros. Y cada uno trae su laboratorio: mueves tú la profundidad, el agente y la edad, y ves qué hace el monitor. Sin paciente y sin prisa, que son las dos condiciones que nunca coinciden en un quirófano.
They are not six boxes with a different number inside. Each device is reproduced with its views, its trends, its scales and its averaging delay — which is what explains why the number always arrives late, and why it arrives later on some than on others. And each one ships with its own lab: you move the depth, the agent and the age, and watch what the monitor does. No patient and no rush, the two conditions that never coincide in an OR.

El rigor clínico es exactamente el mismo que en el resto de la app. Lo que cambia es que aquí, si te equivocas, además te comen.
A hospital overrun by a zombie outbreak, and you walking the ORs floor by floor: you cure the infected colleagues, solve each room's EEG and handle a stroke code before time runs out. The clinical rigor is exactly the same as in the rest of the app. What changes is that here, if you get it wrong, you also get eaten.
